East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a full time faculty position in the Department of Graduate Nursing Science to conduct research and teach predominately in the doctoral programs. 

Candidates may be considered for 12 month tenured, tenure-track at the title/rank of Assistant Professor or higher, or fixed-term faculty. 

Appointments are commensurate with education and experience. 

Courses are taught in a face-face, hybrid and/or online, distance education delivery format. 

The department has approximately 50 graduate faculty, over 600 graduate students, and is a front runner in preparing nurses to assume advanced practice and nurse scientist roles. 

Responsibilities include: Maintaining an active program of research, teaching, academic advising, developing and evaluating relevant courses, and participating in PhD dissertations and/or DNP scholarly projects.  

Minimum Qualifications:

Tenured and tenure-track positions require a PhD or a doctoral degree in a closely related discipline with evidence of significant research experience and funding. 

Fixed term positions require a master's degree in nursing. 

All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions and conferred by the time of hire. 

A valid non-restricted NC nursing license is required upon employment  

Preferred Education and Experience:

A PhD in Nursing is preferred or a closely related discipline with a graduate degree in nursing. 

A strong desire to build a program of research and seek extramural funding is preferred.
