Summary
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, in association with the Texas Children's Hospital, is seeking Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians to provide patient care in the Emergency Centers of Texas Children's Hospital, including the Texas Medical Center Campus, West Campus, and The Woodlands Campus.
Continually recognized as one of the nation's premier children's healthcare systems, the Emergency Medicine Division services the largest Pediatric Emergency Center in South Central Texas, treating more than 150,000 patients annually. Modern, state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, strong nursing and tech support, collaborative partnerships with other services, and a cutting-edge operations system serve to bolster professional efforts and overall staff satisfaction. Many of our 60+ faculty have specialized training in medical education, point of care ultrasound, global health, advocacy, and research.

With one of the largest and most diverse PEM divisions in the US, mentorship is readily available for individual faculty to develop career niches in their areas of interest. Candidates will enter as Assistant Professor, tenure or non-tenure track, based on experience and qualifications. Salary and benefit packages are competitive.
Job Duties
Clinical duties for Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians are to evaluate, diagnose, manage, consult, and treat all patients who seek care in the Texas Children's Emergency Centers for any problem or complaint. Core privileges include performance of high stakes and other procedures commonly performed or needing to be performed urgently or emergently.
Minimum Qualifications
M.D. (or equivalent), Accredited Residency in Pediatrics and/or Emergency Medicine, and Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, or American Board of Emergency Medicine
Minimum Certification/Licenses/Registration:
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board
