Job Summary
Oversee the acceptance and processing of payments, tuition fees, and other fines and fees.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations and university financial policies and procedures
Knowledge of cashiering/cash management principles, systems and standards, accounting and accounts receivable principles, methodology and practice
Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
Knowledge of software needs to quantify and illustrate complex financial reports, comparisons, impacts and/or projections
Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques
Knowledge of university and/or public auditing policies, standards and procedures
Skilled in budget preparation and fiscal management
Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to use independent judgement and to manage and impart information to a range of clientele
Ability to supervise/train employees and foster a cooperative work environment
Ability to plan, implement and administer recordkeeping systems and procedures
Essential Job Functions
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting; and 3 years related experience.

Essential Job Functions
- Oversee the overall operations of student financial services, billing and receivables, and cashiering functions of the university
- Provides direction and leadership in financial management, fiscal policy review and change implementation
- Provides periodic reports of receipts and technical information to the university community and to external funding agencies
- Facilitates customer-oriented staff interaction with students, parents, administrators, faculty and staff
- Interact with internal and external auditors, participates in auditing projects or provider information and access to accounting records, as required
- Establishes and implements short/long range departmental goals, objectives and strategic plans, policies and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects change required for improvement
- Establishes/maintains a staffing structure to effectively
accomplish goals and objectives
