The Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University is seeking a Manager, Robinson College Operational Services for the Atlanta Campus   who is   flexible, a customer service-driven self-starter, able to work independently, and willing to take a hands-on, proactive approach to maximizing operational effectiveness.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Robinson has offices, classrooms, meetings, and collaboration spaces at three locations on the Atlanta campus. This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of Robinson spaces in all three locations.

This is a customer service-focused role that has the potential to interact with all Robinson faculty, staff, and students, as well as various service departments within the university. This position will be expected to walk between Robinson-occupied buildings on the Atlanta campus daily. The office for this position will be located at 55 Park Place.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Manage the daily operations of the department, providing operational support services that ensure maximum functionality, flexibility, and support for 24 Robinson College units across the Atlanta campus, encompassing three buildings and nearly 316,000sf of occupied space.
  • Oversee customer service processes to ensure excellent customer service for all activities, including classes, meetings, and events. Resolve complex customer service issues when escalation is necessary. Analyze customer interaction data to identify and suggest process improvements to the Assistant Director.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and off-boarding activities for Robinson College, ensuring the following changes are completed correctly and effectively: phone caller ID updates and connections/disconnections, pickup/return and activation/deactivation of keys and access cards, office signage updates, updates to departmental records, and office cleaning and preparation for new employees.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, developing, and disciplining the Facilities Coordinator, Events Coordinator, and a team of approximately 10 student assistants through supervision, coaching, and support in their day-to-day responsibilities. Responsible for communication of GSU HR policies and procedures to the entire department.
  • Implement team building and collaboration strategies to ensure a strong sense of cohesion and trust within the department.
  • Assist with emergency operation response protocols for Atlanta campus Robinson buildings and their constituents. Lead on-site emergency response and evacuations.
  • Coordinate minor renovation projects initiated by Robinson departments with the GSU Renovations department.
  • Implement departmental initiatives and small projects the Assistant Director and Director sets forth.

  • Optional Retirement Plan -- ORP is a 401(a) Defined Contribution Plan. Employees contribute 6%, and USG contributes 9.24% to the plan. Employees are immediately vested.
  • Teacher Retirement System -- TRS is a Defined Benefit Plan, a traditional public pension plan. Employees contribute 6%, and USG contributes 19.81% to the plan. Your retirement benefit is calculated by factoring in years of service, final salary, and a 2% multiplier. Employees are vested after 10 years.

Qualifications :

Minimum Hiring Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field and two years of supervisory/managerial experience or a combination of education and related experience.
