Position Summary:

The Master of Social Work Program invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor. This pool may be drawn on, as needed, beginning with the spring 2025 semester. The successful candidate will have earned an MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited MSW Program and have at least two years, post-MSW practice experience. Experience in teaching in social work education is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities :
  • Co-teach online graduate courses in alignment with CSWE policies and standard.

  • Contribute to the continuous growth and improvement of the MSW Curriculum.

  • Provide timely and detailed feedback to students.

  • Adhere to program and university deadlines and policies.

  • Maintain consistent, high quality communication with faculty, staff, and students.



​Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to teach and co-teach graduate courses in social work

  • Proficiency in computer technology, including, but not limited to, Canvas, Microsoft, and Google Suite.

  • Adhere to the general faculty guidelines as specified by Wingate University.

  • Perform other job duties/responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience:
  • MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited MSW Program

  • Two years post-MSW social work practice experience

  • Experience in teaching and/or curriculum development in social work education preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Communication both verbally and in writing with colleagues, students, and community partners
