Position Summary
The Coordinator of Alumni Engagement provides programmatic and logistical support for the alumni engagement team. This role assists with marketing Institutional Advancement events, assists with the planning and execution of Alumni Engagement programs and events, and supports alumni volunteer efforts.

Major Responsibilities
Event Marketing and Management
- Create event registrations in the Constituent Relations Management tool (Anthology). Monitor and track alumni and guest event attendees
- Post news and events on social media channels and websites to the alumni community
- Coordinate Alumni Engagement and Institutional Advancement events and initiatives. Duties include managing registrations, reserving rooms, sending and updating announcements and invitations, arranging for technology, processing payments, coordinating catering needs, and attending programs as a representative as the Alumni Engagement office
- Assist Executive Director with Cortland Alumni Association Board management including preparing meeting minutes, agenda, and meeting materials. Support Board meeting logistics including scheduling meeting venues, processing travel, coordinating catering, etc.
- Partner with the Board Engagement Committee to manage the awards selection process. Duties include processing and curating nominations, supporting the selection process, managing the ceremony logistics, and stewarding alumni award winners
- Serve as the primary back-up point of contact to the Alumni Engagement secretary to respond to general alumni inquiries
- Provide training and assistance on event software management and other technology platforms
- Assist in coordination of alumni volunteer opportunities including recruitment, involvement, and stewardship
- Report to the Executive Director of Alumni Engagement
- Work closely with alumni engagement team and collaborate with other Institutional Advancement employees
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 1 year customer service experience
- Willingness and ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience working in Advancement, Communications, Marketing, Alumni Engagement, Event Management, or Higher Education
- Demonstrated familiarity with CRM (Constituent Record Management) software
- Event and/or program marketing experience
