Job Summary
Reporting to the division dean this leadership position establishes and maintains adequate systems to ensure effective operation and compliance of workforce programs located at the Northwest Campus Center of Excellence for Aviation, Transportation and Logistics ( CEATL ).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performance Requirements*
- Develops and implements strategies to ensure continuing accreditation of the division programs
- Recommends and coordinates the budget for the department
- Coordinates and schedules all class offerings at CEATL
- Participates in curriculum and instruction processes to revise program offerings and curricular change and introduce new programs
- Supervises faculty in developing, maintaining, and updating curriculum
- Provides division supervision for program and support staff at CEATL
- Recommends full-time and part-time faculty appointments and teaching assignments
- Oversees the admission process for division students
- Supervises the preparation and revision of syllabi for departmental course offerings
- Foster’s liaisons with advisory partners, playing an active role in securing internship agreements and sites for student training
- Maintains memberships and participates actively in local, state, and national organizations
- Evaluates instructional effectiveness and student progress
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College ( TCC ) Institute
- Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
- Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College
SUPERVISION – Works under the general supervision of the Divisional Dean for Aviation, Business, and Logistics.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two (2) years of administrative experience in an educational program
- One (1) year of College-level teaching experience
- One (1) year of experience with Dual Credit
- One (1) year of supervising employees (e.g., managing and evaluating the performance of others)
- Master’s degree
- Recent experience with Career and Technical Education
- Prior experience or certifications with any of the workforce
programs at the Center of Excellence for for Aviation,
Transportation and Logistics, e.g.
- Aviation Maintenance Technology
- Professional Pilot Program
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Non-Destructive Testing, Inspection and Evaluation
- Welding Technology
- Bilingual
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and a setting that is diverse and urban
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
- Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
- Highly developed oral and written skills
- Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
- Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
- Knowledge and/or experience in meeting the needs of a diverse community of learners
