St. Catherine University in St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a comprehensive Catholic university and home to one of the nation’s largest college for women, and associate and graduate programs for both women and men. The Psychology department invites applicants for a full-time ranked 3-year rolling faculty position beginning Fall 2015, pending budget approval. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience.

 

Responsibilities:  We are developing a psychology degree completion program for adult learners in a hybrid/online learning format and this candidate would be expected to help develop and teach in this program; advise students; develop an active program of research in her/his area of interest and expertise; collaborate with students on research; and engage in department and University service.

 

Requirements:   PhD in an area of applied psychology by August 2015 is required (ABD in PhD program will be considered). We are interested in applied areas of psychology, such as Educational Psychology, Counseling or Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Community Psychology, or Applied Social Psychology. Prior demonstrated experience teaching adult students at the post-secondary level, and demonstrated experience teaching in hybrid or online environments is required. Candidates are required to have strong communication and collaboration skills, prior record of excellent teaching and research, and have administrative experience. Candidates should be committed to teaching and advising a diverse undergraduate student body, and mentoring undergraduates in collaborative research. Additional preference will be given to applicants prepared to teach advanced courses in their specialty in addition to other core psychology courses, such as General Psychology, Research Methods and Statistics.
