Facilities Services Supervisor, Building Supervisor

Position Summary: Campus Recreation and Intramurals. This position serves as a member of the Facilities Management and Operations Team. Duties include but are not limited to: performing general maintenance tasks at indoor/outdoor recreation facilities, supervise maintenance worker and/or student employees in set-up and housekeeping tasks, coordinate maintenance and repairs for all CRI facilities, maintain inventory of supplies/equipment, make purchases and recommendations as needed, maintain reports relative to maintenance and repairs and assist in the scheduling/planning of large projects, assist with special events which may include some manual labor as a team member of the set-up crew, and coordinate vehicle maintenance/service. Work will include occasional evening and weekend responsibilities. Georgia Southern University is a Tobacco Free Campus.

Minimum Requirements: Associate’s Degree or two years of formal post-secondary education/technical training (additional experience may substitute for some of the educational requirement); three or more years related work experience; supervisory experience; effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Advanced training through continuing education or trade certifications; knowledge of OSHA standards; experience with Metasys software.

Salary Range: Commensurate with Experience
