Administrative Specialist, ISO & Quality Systems Specialist

Position Summary: Herty Advanced Materials Development Center, Savannah GA. This position works closely with department directors, and all Herty employees, to maintain and establish all necessary quality documentation to be used for activities that fall under Herty’s Scope of Registration; coordinates and conducts document additions and edits to the ISO website, as necessary; conducts annual Internal Quality Audits of the entire Quality Management System; conducts Management Review meetings at least once per year and generates minutes as a result of these meetings to be approved by the President/CEO; maintains the efficiency of Herty’s Quality Management System; conducts Quality Management training, as requested, for new and current employees; assumes the role of Management Representative during external Quality Audits performed by Herty’s registrar; coordinates Quality Management System activities; assures the conduct of internal audits and follow ups; uses working knowledge of quality management system documentation. Georgia Southern University is a Tobacco Free Campus.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (additional experience may substitute for some of the educational requirement); three or more years related work experience; effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications: ISO certified; experience as an internal auditor

Salary Range: Commensurate with Experience
