Job Summary
The University Counseling Center (UCC) at the University of Utah enthusiastically welcomes applications for two full-time embedded staff psychologists to become an integral member of our large dynamic multidisciplinary team. This is a fully benefited, full-time 12-month position. Responsibilities include providing individual, group, relationship counseling, conducting initial consultations, clinical supervision, and crisis intervention services. Possession of strong clinical skills, the ability to manage a full client caseload, demonstrated competence in working effectively with a wide range of clientele and presenting concerns, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team is desired. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of and experience with college student mental health needs.
Embedded psychologists spend a portion of their time within an identified college or department providing clinical, outreach, programming and consultation services. The remainder of time is spent within the central UCC location. Embedded staff have a unique opportunity to develop ongoing collaborative working relationships with faculty and staff and develop an expertise within their embedded area. Current embedded sites include College of Law, College of Science, College of Engineering, Satellite Campuses, and the Center for Student Access and Resources.

Particular emphasis will be on providing on-site clinical services and programming within the Ivory House for approximately 20 hours/week. The remaining 20 hours will be assigned to central UCC, or potentially augment other embedded sites.
Health Sciences - The University of Utah Health Sciences includes the College of Pharmacy, College of Nursing, College of Health, School of Dentistry, and the School of Medicine. The Embedded Psychologist provides clinical services for students across all health sciences colleges (with the exception of MD students) and partners with college faculty and staff providing preventative programming and outreach. The position will work collaboratively with the Assistant Vice President for Health Sciences Student Health & Wellness. Approximately 20 hours/week will be spent within the Health Sciences locations, with the remaining 20 hours assigned to central UCC.
