Pediatric Psychologist Specializing in Pediatric Gastroenterology

Details

The Division of Pediatric Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking a pediatric psychologist with expertise and interest in treating pediatric feeding disorders as well as colorectal conditions. Our growing treatment programs at Primary Children's Hospital provide comprehensive interdisciplinary care and education to address the complex needs of children and adolescents with chronic medical illness throughout the Intermountain West.

The Primary Children's Feeding and Swallowing Center (FSC) and Colorectal Center (CHARM) are expanding their interdisciplinary diagnostic, treatment, and education services for children of all ages. Currently, we are seeking a pediatric psychologist to work closely with pediatric nurse practitioners, speech and language pathology, gastroenterology and neuro-gastroenterology, social work, nutrition, surgery, and child life to address the psychological needs of patients in a supportive and trauma-informed care setting.

Qualified candidates must have a PhD or PsyD from an accredited psychology training program and have completed an APA-approved internship specializing in clinical child or pediatric psychology. Requisite experience including fellowship in health psychology or equivalent experience with medical patients in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have additional experience with pediatric feeding disorders and familiarity with gastroenterology disorders. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure Track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
