Clinical Geriatrician Faculty

Details

The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Geriatrics, at the University of Utah is seeking candidates for clinical physician faculty positions. We are looking for full-time and/or part-time faculty. The positions will involve attending on the inpatient consultation services and/or outpatient clinics. The positions include supervision of Geriatric Medicine Fellows with opportunities to teach third and fourth-year medical students and Internal or Family Medicine residents. The level of appointment will be based on the applicant's prior experience and qualifications. Candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. and be ABIM or ABFM board certified or eligible in Geriatrics. All faculty participate in the educational mission by taking part in seminars, didactic lectures, and clinical conferences.

The division's clinical physician faculty provides state of the art care for older patients in outpatient clinics, inpatient and hospital programs, home-based chronic care, and long-term care settings. The care provided addresses each of the 4 Geriatric “M's,” guiding our participation in the Age Friendly Health System initiative. The division currently has thriving team-based care programs in the areas of Geriatric care, including its Patient-Centered Medical Home; dementia and other cognitive disorders in its Aging Brain Care program; and mobility in its Faint and Fall clinic.

We are committed to fostering an inspiring and collegial workplace and provide competitive compensation packages. The Division of Geriatrics is also committed to fostering professional conduct among all members of its community through creating an environment of humanism, excellence, and respect.
