CAREER LINE TRACK FACULTY POSITION in NEUROBIOLOGY, DIVISION OF ANATOMICAL SCIENCES
The Department of Neurobiology at the University of Utah (http://www.neuro.utah.edu/) is seeking applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), career line (lecturer track), non-tenure faculty position as an Anatomical Sciences Educator to teach medical and health professions students. Successful candidates will provide educational and related services as assigned by the Vice-Chair of Medical and Dental Education, as well as serving educational roles within the School of Medicine/Dentistry. The Division of Anatomical Sciences within the department has a team of educators who serve in leadership and teaching roles for gross anatomy, histology, embryology, neuroanatomy, and physiology throughout the Health Sciences and we are looking to add a member to this team. Specific roles will include facilitating small group Problem-Based Learning, leading dissection and prosection laboratory experiences, co-creating and co-leading a science-clinical integrated course, and developing expertise to serve as a potential domain expert in the anatomical sciences. Additional responsibilities include directing the completion and implementation of an online anatomy certificate program with future direction in creating a graduate program in anatomy education. Candidates will be expected to participate actively in medical student education, graduate education, and faculty development opportunities.
Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., or equivalent degrees and have a background in the anatomical sciences. A successful applicant will be expected to share our commitment to excellence in graduate and medical education and should have strong collaboration and communication skills.
