Position Summary: The University of Utah College of Nursing seeks applicants for mid-career tenure-line faculty positions. We seek innovative nurse scientists with extramurally-funded programs of research, to enhance and expand our high priority research programs in the areas of health equity, social determinants of health and/or chronic)/serious illness(es); women's health, gerontology, and caregiving research; as well as informatics, clinical and translational research. Applicants must also have experience in teaching undergraduate or graduate nursing or gerontology students. The College of Nursing values candidates who have experience working with students from different backgrounds and are strongly committed to improving access to, and success in higher education for all students. College of Nursing: Consistently ranked in the top 25 in NIH funding among Colleges of Nursing, The University of Utah College of Nursing is a focal point for clinicians and researchers to collaboratively improve individual, family, community health, and quality of life. The University of Utah College of Nursing prepares nurses at all education levels with a current enrollment of more than 700 students. The College has ten Endowed Chairs, and is home to the Gerontology Interdisciplinary Program. The Emma Eccles Jones Nursing Research Center provides infrastructure and support for the College of Nursing research mission and includes a biostatistics core.

Principal Functions and Responsibilities: Faculty in the tenure-line engage in independent and team- based research in their area of concentration. Opportunities for teaching in the doctoral, post- doctoral or other programs are matched to the candidate's expertise.
Criteria: Candidates must be registered nurses, or advanced practice registered nurses who earned a research doctorate in nursing or a related field. Candidates should have evidence of external funding (e.g., K, R03, R21, ADA, AHA), a record of scholarship, and demonstrated experience teaching/mentoring. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
