Interventional Radiologist - Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor

Details

Embark on a fulfilling career with the University of Utah's Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. We invite you to join our vibrant and expanding team as a CAQ-certified, fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist within our fast-growing Interventional Radiology (IR) division.

Our section provides comprehensive offerings in areas such as interventional oncology, intricate transplant procedures, and advanced hepatobiliary interventions, as well as complex vascular work that includes arterial, venous, and pulmonary systems. Our interventional radiology team is comprised of seven physicians and a dynamic group of 10 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Qualifications:
We seek a CAQ-certified, fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist who is proficient in a broad spectrum of IR techniques and protocols. The perfect fit for our team would be a candidate demonstrating exemplary clinical acumen and interpersonal aptitude, ideally backed by a portfolio of prior scholarly contributions. We anticipate that the chosen individual will not only thrive but also be a catalyst for growth within our specialized section, all while aligning with the broader objectives of the department and institution. Depending on the candidate's background, experience, and expertise, the academic appointment will be made at a level suitable to their qualifications, ranging from assistant to associate to full professor.

Facilities and Institution:
The section delivers high-quality clinical services at two key locations: the University Hospital and the Huntsman Cancer Hospital, an esteemed NCI-designated premier cancer center. Our IR practice serves an extensive geographical footprint, catering to patients from seven neighboring states, including Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Washington, and Wyoming. The IR division boasts five state-of-the-art Angio-suites situated in both the University Hospital and the Huntsman Cancer Hospital, with additional suite expansions currently in progress at the latter facility. Our recently inaugurated IR clinic joins the fold of our specialized multi-disciplinary liver cancer and liver transplant clinic, recently established. Moreover, the Utah VA Medical Center plays a significant role in our Integrated and Independent IR Residency programs.

Beyond the realm of Interventional Radiology, our department is equipped with cutting-edge imaging modalities like MR, dual-energy CT, and PET-CT, accessible for both clinical practice and investigative endeavors. Within the department, the Utah Center for Advanced Imaging Research (UCAIR) stands as a hub for unparalleled research prospects in next-generation medical imaging and pioneering interventional technologies, including MR-guided Focused Ultrasound. Additionally, a specialized research C-arm is available for pre-clinical studies in the field of interventional radiology.
