Health and Wellness Services at the University of Colorado Boulder is searching for a Massage Therapist! Who We Are

Medical Services staff understand and are committed to the unique health concerns of our student population, making us an unparalleled source of advocacy for student wellness! Medical Services provides a wide range of health care services for students for primary care, physicals, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, allergy shots, vaccinations, travel health care, and concussion care. Our skilled team of providers collaborate to support the overall health of our students with our team of physicians/nurses, physical therapists, registered dietitians, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and massage therapists.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Patient Care:
  • Perform massage therapist evaluations and treatments through soft tissue manipulation while maintaining a safe and relaxing experience.
  • Educate patients on present condition(s) and instruct on preventative aspects of self-care to facilitate and maintain a higher level of wellness.
  • Complete accurate and timely EHR documentation and charges for all patient.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and refer to other health care providers (internal and external).
  • Maintain an understanding and application of universal precautions with patient care.
  • Ability to provide outstanding massage therapy and patient service.
  • Time management awareness.
  • Participate in Health & Wellness community activities and attend and participate in Medical Services department meetings.
What You Should Know
This is an on-call position with a schedule of 12-20 hours weekly, Monday through Friday. There is an opportunity for increased hours based on patient demand. Work hours will occur during Medical Services operating hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. This schedule will align with campus holidays and closures. This position may become eligible for benefits should the work schedule be set at or above 20 hours per week consistently.
What We Can Offer

The hourly pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00.

What We Require
  • Graduate from accredited Massage Therapy program.
  • Licensed as a Massage therapist in the State of Colorado.
  • Clinical experience in a professional setting (internship, private practice, massage establishment, spa, medical or integrative facility).
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Certificate within 3 months of hire; training provided if needed.
  • Eligible for clinical privileges as determined by Medical Services Credentialing & Privileging.

What You Will Need
  • Basic functional computer skills (experience with Windows based system).
  • Good communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

What We Would Like You to Have
  • Previous EHR experience.
  • Experience in communicating and working with staff and students in an academic environment.
  • Previous experience working in the clinical setting in the Medical Services Department at CU Boulder.
