Job Description:

The School of Public Health (SPH) at the University at Albany is seeking to hire part-time/adjunct lecturers for undergraduate and master-level courses in all Public Health disciplines, including but not limited to Global Health, Health Policy and Management, Social Behavior and Community Health, Maternal and Child Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Communications, Environmental Health Science, and Public Health Preparedness. Applications will be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Housed in the most diverse, public, Research 1 university in the US, the School of Public Health, in close partnership with the New York State Department of Health, offers unique and extensive experiential learning and public health practice opportunities, and conducts timely and impactful research to improve comprehensive wellness and reduce health inequities in New York State, the nation, and across the globe.

The School has a rapidly growing BS in Public Health program, on-campus and online MPH programs, and masters and doctoral programs in Public Health, Epidemiology, Environmental Health, and Biomedical Sciences. The School also offers Graduate Certificate Programs in Public Health, Global Health, Maternal and Child Health, HIV Studies, Health Disparities, and Public Health Surveillance and Preparedness.

Opportunities exist for both on-campus and fully online courses. Successful applicants will receive teaching assignments based on the candidate's expertise and/or contributions to our existing programs.


Requirements:
  • A doctoral (PhD) degree in a relevant field from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education of internationally recognized accrediting organization; or a relevant Master's degree in a Public Health discipline and/or significant practice and/or teaching experience in Public Health
  • Applicants must address in their application their ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
