The position will be based at the University of Utah School of Medicine, ranked among the top 30 public research universities in the nation, located in the foothills overlooking Salt Lake City.
The focus of the available project within the broader research program is to study the role of ITAM number and sequence in Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cell function from a recently funded NIH-RO1 5 year award.
The fellow will have an opportunity to train in cutting edge technologies and the use of humanized mouse models. The fellow will contribute to projects understanding the transcriptional regulation and CAR signaling signatures of human CAR T cells in various tumor antigen models.
The preferred applicant will be familiar with one or more of the following techniques: NRG/NSG mouse models and human CAR T cell generation, flow cytometry, western and IP western blots, use of next-generation single cell RNA sequencing, omics analysis including phosphoproteomics and metabolomics.
