Family Medicine Physician Hospitalist

We invite you to join the multidisciplinary faculty of the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, Division of Family and Community Medicine, within the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, University of Utah. We are seeking a board-certified family physician for the position of Family Medicine Physician Clinical Faculty Hospitalist in collaboration with the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Utah
You will be joining a strong family medicine faculty group and an extremely stable hospitalist group that is passionate about teaching and about hospital medicine as a career. You will have opportunities for teaching family medicine residents, medical students, and other health science trainees. The academic position will be in the Clinical Track, Career Line, and rank commensurate with experience.

Highlights of this position include:
  • Less than 200 total days of clinical work per year
  • Approximately 15 weekends per year and fewer evening/night shifts compared to most hospitalist groups
  • Organized educational and mentoring program within the group focused on career development

Qualifications
  • Board certification by The American Board of Family Medicine
  • Unrestricted Utah state medical license
  • Experience in clinical medicine, teaching and scholarship is preferred.
