Student Experience Manager, EMBA
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and student-focused Executive MBA Student Experience Manager to oversee operations and enhance the student experience within the University of Utah's top-20 Executive MBA program. This position plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality services to students and managing the logistical and operational aspects of the program. The Student Experience Manager will contribute to fostering a vibrant and supportive learning environment while ensuring the smooth execution of program activities and events.
Responsibilities
Student Experience & Program Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the Executive MBA program, ensuring the efficient execution of all activities and seamless program delivery.
- Act as a resource for students, providing guidance and support throughout their academic journey and resolving issues related to student services.
- Coordinate and execute student-focused events and activities, including class days, orientation, social events, intensive weeks, and other key program milestones.
Event Coordination
- Manage event logistics for class days and other key program events, ensuring smooth execution by coordinating catering, room setup, scheduling, and IT support.
- Plan and organize student events, such as networking sessions, guest speakers, alumni gatherings, and social hours, fostering a strong sense of community.
Student Communication & Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for students, providing clear and timely communication about program logistics, events, and updates to keep students informed and engaged.
- Coordinate communications such as email announcements, reminders, and program updates.
- Address student inquiries promptly, ensuring high-quality customer service.
Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Support
- Work closely with the admissions team to support recruitment efforts, offering valuable insights into the program for prospective students.
- Assist with onboarding and enrollment processes for newly admitted students by verifying documentation, organizing orientation sessions, and delivering essential program information.
Faculty Support
- Organize and conduct pre-course meetings with faculty to identify and address specific support needs and preferences for each course.
- Coordinate the timely procurement and delivery of course materials, including books, cases, and syllabi.
- Manage faculty needs within the classroom and Canvas platform, providing ongoing course management support.
Data Management & Student Records
- Ensure the accurate maintenance of student records and databases, keeping all program-related information up to date and organized for easy access.
- Contribute to reports on student engagement, retention, and attendance.
Budget & Financial Support
- Monitor and manage event-related budgets, ensuring the responsible and effective use of resources.
- Reconcile bills and assist with financial tasks related to program activities.
Other duties as assigned to support the EMBA program and the overall student experience.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related area plus three years of experience in budget, grant and program management or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Develops and implements program ideas into successful academic and research programs; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.

Preferences
- A bachelor's degree is required. Experience in program management, student services, or event coordination is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex logistics and work with diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Availability to work alternating Saturdays to support class days and program events.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving program needs and student expectations.

Work Schedule Summary: Monday through Friday, with alternating Saturdays required to support student class days. A comp day is provided for each Saturday worked. Occasional evening availability is necessary for recruiting or student events. This position is classified as “essential,” requiring the employee to work on campus, in person.
