Pre-Award GCO II
Job Summary
Independently and with some basic oversight, completes various routine pre-award administration of research grants &/or contracts.
Responsibilities
• Proficient with all the duties and responsibilities of a Pre-Award GCO I• Independently completes basic proposals for a variety of sponsors• With basic oversight from a supervisor, completes complex proposal preparation for a variety of sponsors• Initial exposure to complex proposal preparation (e.g. multi-project proposals, institutional training grants, contract proposals)• Demonstrates familiarity with and appropriately utilizes University, department, and most common sponsor systems and processes for proposal preparation, submission, and tracking• Expanded knowledge of University and department research administration systems and processes• Expanded knowledge of various sponsor systems, processes and policies required for proposal submission• Problems encountered are varied, but generally with precedent. Resolution may require some analysis and interpretation, requiring innovation and creativity.• Has developed specialized skills or is multi-skilled through job-related training and on-the-job experience

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 8 years of relevant work experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
