PS Clinical Executive Assistant
Job Summary
Provides direct administrative support for University/Health Sciences administration, colleges, or departments.
Responsibilities
- Jointly develops and implements standards for unit-specific patient and customer service, human resources and financial management goals consistent with organizational goals and objectives.
- Analyzes and determines appropriate staff needs to support patient and customer needs. Plans and organizes staff and facilities to meet patient and customer needs.
- Ensures patient and customer satisfaction by analyzing complaints, concerns and suggestions and providing the appropriate response and follow through.
- Jointly develops unit strategies consistent with the organization's continuous quality improvement program.
- Ensures competency of unit staff through the coordination and development of staff education.
- Jointly forecasts staffing, capital and operating budget needs.
- Directs clinical care services appropriate to the individual unit.
- Markets and promotes new and existing programs and services to internal and external customers.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Incumbents use independent judgement in resolving various problems that involve faculty, staff, students and the general public. Must use judgement and discretion when advising others of the executive's view on policies and other issues. This position initiates and has input in the hiring and employment decisions related to subordinate staff.
Incumbents in this position may be required to represent the executive at meetings and interact with individuals at the highest levels in public and private organizations on a local and national basis.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Care Administration or a related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Two years office management and supervisory experience, demonstrated knowledge of finance and budgeting, and public relations skills required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
