Research Assistant/App Dev
Job Summary
Our research team, co-led by Drs. Yelena Wu and Tammy Stump at Huntsman Cancer Institute and by Dr. Jason Wiese at the School of Computing, is hiring a part-time App Developer Research Assistant to support the delivery and evaluation of a skin cancer prevention Android smartphone application. The App Developer will monitor and update a previously developed sun protection application. Job duties will involve communication with original app developers and updating code as needed to address bugs or add features. They will also be responsible for documenting any changes to the application. Secondary responsibilities may include analytic or logistic support on related projects.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Research Assistant/Analyst responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:• Refine code of pre-existing mobile health app• Adjust code based on bugs as needed• Documenting activities and outcomes in appropriate databases• Compiling reports summarizing study progress• Attending team meetings to discuss progress, successes, and challenges• Participating in ongoing training to maintain fidelity to protocols and other research required training• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a Social or Behavioral Science, Liberal Arts, or a field related to the area of research, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); one year of experience in research and analytical techniques; demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required..
