Salary Range: Up to $60,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
Function: Responsible for management of the fiscal and administrative operations of an executive office and component departments or units.
Scope: Responsible for planning, administering, and managing the business and other clerical activities for the area, including overseeing functions possessing a University-wide scope.
Core Responsibilities
- Manages all financial and administrative operations of the division interfacing with the Office of Research business service center.
- Prepares budgets, monitors expenses and reconciles departmental accounts.
- Oversees all purchasing, including vendor research, pricing and preparation of purchase requisitions.
- Works with executives and directors to identify sources of funds for special projects.
- Supervises administrative office staff.
- Participates in the development, preparation and submission of various strategic and operational planning documents, reports, and surveys for UTSA, UT System, other agencies.
- Identifies appropriate internal controls and develops and implements mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
- Advises executives and directors on personnel matters and UTSA/UT System policies and procedures.
- Coordinates and oversee recruitment, hiring, payroll, and time/leave reporting.
- Uses initiative and independent judgment to relieve one or more administrators of administrative matters and decisions
- Collects data from various sources and analyzes for accuracy, completeness, and relevance. Prepares complex, statistical, technical, financial, confidential, and other various reports, charts and graphs
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Six (6) years of progressively responsible financial and business managerial experience in a complex office environment including a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
- Similar experience within the UT System.
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Working Conditions
- Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.
- Occasional after hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasional.
This position will require working both remotely in Texas and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
