Description:
The Department of Hispanic Studies at the University of Houston invites applications for part-time Lecturer positions to teach Spanish at the undergraduate level in the areas of basic language, literature, linguistics, and culture. In addition, the Department offers specialized in Spanish for the Professions through its growing programs, medical Spanish, and education. The primary goal of the Department is to provide students with the background required to perform well in graduate programs and a wide range of career options.
The Department is particularly interested in candidates with native or near-native language proficiency in Spanish. Lecturer appointments are made on a semester basis.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Spanish; however, those holding a master’s degree in Spanish will be considered.
Official transcripts are required for a faculty appointment and will be requested upon selection of the final candidates. All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
