Additional Schedule Details: This is an on-campus position. Normal hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with an hour lunch. Winter (between Fall/Spring semesters) and Summer hours are typically Monday - Thursday, 7:30am-5:00pm with a 1/2-hour lunch.

Posted Salary Grade: Non-Exempt - 41

Job Summary/Basic Functions

An EKU Student Accounting Associate provides support to the Financial Affairs division through coordination, communication, critical thinking, teamwork and office management to promote the mission and goals of the division and the University. The successful candidate will utilize knowledge of more advanced accounting and financial procedures to ensure all financial applications are accurate and consistent with the University's policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree is required.

Experience: One year of related financial, office, or customer service experience is required.

Effective communications, ability to learn and retain information and apply general concepts to work, accuracy, thoroughness and reliability.

Job Duties:
  • 60% - Follows internal guidelines and procedures to safeguard and properly allocate funds received by the University at a high rate of accuracy and efficiency. - ()
  • 25% - Processes paperwork and external scholarship funds received on behalf of students. - ()
  • 10% - Provides excellent customer service to students, parents, staff and/or faculty to support the day-to-day operations of the office. Excellence should be exhibited in communications, performance and reliability. - ()
  • 5% - Supports the office function by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - ()
