The Department of Music and the College of Arts and Humanities at Central Washington University invite applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Applied Flute/Woodwind Coordinator, starting in September 2025. We seek a flute pedagogue and performer with national and/or international recognition in the field, and who has a commitment to excellence in music education. Successful candidates will have demonstrated potential to contribute effectively to a faculty team dedicated to creating a positive, dynamic, and inclusive learning environment for an increasingly diverse student population.
The successful candidate will serve the Department of Music as Woodwind Area Coordinator in addition to providing applied instruction in the flute studio. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate will be expected to actively recruit for the flute studio, mentor and advise undergraduate music students, engage in scholarship and creative activities, and contribute service to the Department of Music.
