The Department of Art + Design at Central Washington University (Ellensburg, WA) invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Drawing and Foundations.  The department is seeking a candidate who demonstrates a strong commitment to student success while teaching a student body that is diverse with respect to socioeconomic status, race, culture, academic interests, and career paths. The candidate will be committed to maintaining an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The successful candidate will teach all levels of undergraduate courses in Foundations and Drawing while also overseeing all foundations courses being taught within the department. The candidate is expected to take an active role in developing and maintaining the foundations curriculum.  Additional responsibilities include program assessment, student advising, service on departmental, college and university committees, the supervision of studio facilities, serving as a mentor to non-tenure track faculty, and teaching Foundations and Drawing courses and/or special topics courses as needed. All faculty members are expected to maintain a strong record of professional and creative development. The position will be at the assistant professorial rank with a 9-month contract and the expectation of teaching 2-3 courses per quarter per academic year. We're offering a salary, depending on education and experience, from $61,999 - $64,500 plus the awesome CWU benefits. CWU is an EEO/AA/Title IX/Veteran/Disability institution.

To apply for this position, you must complete the on-line application at careers.cwu.edu and attach:
