The University of Montana invites applications for an Anatomy Lab Manager to oversee the administrative operation of the lab spaces, including day-to-day operations, such as ordering supplies, arranging facilities services, and preparing labs for course use; oversees the anatomy lab schedule for education programs (e.g., PT, OT, AT, PA); supports course directors and program curriculum chairs to ensure successful delivery of the anatomy curricula across all programs; supports lab instruction in courses that utilize the lab space.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
- Participates in development of lab strategic plan.
- Oversees & ensures that day-to-day lab operations are appropriately managed, efficient and effective.
- Oversees procurement, disposition, and tracking of human anatomical donors and specimens.
- Prepares and maintains educational technology, models and anatomical specimens.
- Oversees all daily, monthly & annual financial activities including transactions, analysis, & reporting.
- Supervises 1-4 staff, such as graduate student Teaching Assistants.
- Provides oversight of students working on dissection and/or participates in dissection of anatomical donors as needed to ensure that specimens and anatomical models are prepared for instructional needs.
- Serves as support to lab instructors in courses that utilize the lab space (undergraduate and graduate level human anatomy and neuroanatomy courses).
- Working with Anatomy faculty, partners with academia and organizations to continue to innovate & enhance lab programs.
- Manages lab events designed to implement objectives for UM degree programs.
- Oversees the ongoing development and refinement of the program's/project's current and future curriculum and course offerings in consultation with Advisory Committee and Director.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, local & NU laws, regulations, policies & procedures; adheres to OSHA and EPA guidelines and works to update policies as appropriate.
- Oversees creation &/or implementation of associated training.
- With Anatomy Faculty Advisory Committee, develops and implements a comprehensive, visionary program/project strategy designed to continually improve programs and efficiencies, and build internal/external engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Five (5) years program/project administration or other relevant experience.
- Practical experience or academic exposure in the field of Anatomy and Physiology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and schedule in an efficient and productive manner.
- Flexibility and ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks and to meet deadlines.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to foster and support a collaborative, respectful environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s in anatomy or adjacent field.
- Familiarity with graduate health professions anatomy curricula and environment.
- Experience managing teaching labs.
- Experience working in a University setting.
Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, Letter of Appointment and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including insurance package, mandatory retirement plan, partial tuition waiver, and wellness program.
