Suffolk University Law School in Bostonseeks to fill up to four tenure-track or tenured doctrinal faculty positions, starting in 2025-2026.We invite applications from lateral candidates with established records of high achievement in teaching, scholarship, and service, and from entry-level candidates with strong academic and professional backgrounds who show promise of the same. We welcome future colleagues who would contribute to any of our facultys broad research perspectives, including quantitative or qualitative empiricism; critical, historical, comparative, or philosophical approaches; and doctrinal or policy analysis. We are open to a range of teaching and scholarly interests, but we have specific needs in Civil Procedure (including trial advocacy, ADR, and advanced litigation topics), Contracts (including upper-level courses in business and finance),and Property (including advanced real estate transactions). We also hope to add a colleague who would complement our Concentrations or support initiatives in various areas, including but not limited to Sports Law, Law and Technology, or Health Law.

While we will be considering candidates through the AALS Faculty Appointments Register, we encourage candidates with a particular interest in Suffolk Law to apply via Jobvite as soon as possible, as we will begin reviewing applications this summer.Candidates should include in their Jobvite application a curriculum vitae with a cover letter and research agenda addressed to Professors Rene Landers and Stephen Cody, Co-Chairs of the Appointments Committee. Candidates are welcome to share in their cover letter or in a separate statement how they would advance the law schools commitment to diversity and inclusion or other aspects of its mission through their teaching, scholarship, or service.
