Gannon University is committed to excellence in student-centered learning with an emphasis on student-learning outcomes. The faculty work collaboratively with colleagues; deliver instruction; advise students; engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon; and engage in professional, University, and community service activities. All faculty must be able to support and promote the University's inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
The Villa Maria School of Nursing currently has three faculty positions available which will be responsible for teaching in both the undergraduate and the graduate programs, as assigned. Candidates must provide evidence of competence in diverse teaching methods and effective classroom and clinical instruction.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a registered nurse with a master's degree in nursing.
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain nursing licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Must be able to support and promote the University's inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An earned doctorate in nursing or a closely related field; applicants who are enrolled or in the process of enrolling to doctoral programs are also encouraged to apply.
- Recent clinical and teaching experience in a program of higher education.
