JOB SUMMARY:
Provides patient-focused primary care non-surgical sports medicine services at Redfern Student Health Center. Ensures compliance with the Joint Commission accreditation standards while providing services that are responsive to the needs of the university students. Participates in performance improvement teams, committees, and other assigned tasks to support objectives of Student Health Services.
JOB DUTIES:
85% - Essential -Sports Medicine Management: Provides outpatient sports medicine care for students, care of acute illness or injury for visitors, and worker's compensation care for employees of Clemson University. May also be required to provide acute care and primary care services as needed.
10% - Essential - Compliance: Maintains medical records in accordance with the Joint Commission accreditation standards, Student Health Services policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
5% - Essential - Performance Improvement: Participates on Student Health Services and/or other University performance improvement teams and committees.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Doctoral / Professional Degree
Licenses: Medical License; Board certified or board eligible with expectation of certification within 1 year, licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina
Completion of ACGME: accredited residency program and sports medicine fellowship
Certification or experience in MSK or SPORT US
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience: 5+ years in practice and demonstrated competence in SPORT or MSK US
Licenses/Certifications: Certification in SPORT or MSK US

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected Salary: ($150,000.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Essential Level 1 employee
Required to respond during an emergency closure or modified operations in order to provide the University's initial response to the emergency situation, including the execution of mission essential functions. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
