Job Details

The School of Business & Technology at Emporia State University (ESU) invites applications for one tenure-track position in accounting at the assistant professor level. The primary teaching areas are Accounting Information Systems and Auditing. Candidates must demonstrate the ability and willingness to teach in a variety of formats (face-to-face, online, and accelerated online).

 

The position is housed in the AACSB-accredited School of Business & Technology and begins August 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● The candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability and willingness to teach Accounting Information Systems and Auditing.

●  In addition to delivering exceptional teaching, candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to conducting and publishing high-quality scholarly research and engaging in service activities that align with ESU's mission, benefiting both the University and the broader business community.

● This is a full-time, tenure-track position with a 9-month appointment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

● Candidates must have completed or anticipate completing a Ph.D. in Accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited business program by August 2025.

●  Relevant teaching (including online instruction) or industry experience is a plus.

●  Candidates must have a professional commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Emporia State’s AACSB-accredited School of Business & Technology.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary: $106,918 - $125,000  annually
  • Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
