Overview
Responsible for assisting in carrying out the overall health care delivery system and specifically what is provided to the athletic teams assigned. Responsible for compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Establish all medical preparations and coverage at practices and contests, specifically for Men’s Soccer and Swim/Dive. Prepare athletes for competition through various techniques of taping, bandaging and stretching. (60%)
- Assist and monitor physical rehabilitation of athletic related injuries. Apply therapeutic modalities, exercise and education to student-athletes while considering the physical and psychological aspects of their injuries. (25%)
- Organize proper medical coverage for all summer sports camps.
Design minimum standards of medical coverage for each sport camp
including the basic number of staff needed, staff pay rates and
insurance protection needs. Hire and schedule medical coverage with
Certified Athletic Trainers for all summer sports camps. Advise
coaches on all medical aspects required to operate a camp.

MARGINAL DUTIES:
- Perform all other duties as may be required.
Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree in related field from an accredited institution required
- Minimum two years experience at the collegiate level
- National Athletic Trainers Association Certification
- Rhode Island Athletic Trainer License
- First aid and CPR Certification
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
