The Arts Administration Program in the School of Art in the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Arts Administration with an individual who will focus on teaching courses in professional artistic practice/arts entrepreneurship and supporting the core Arts Administration curriculum. The UNCG Arts Administration Program is an interdisciplinary program for undergraduates interested in the performing and visual arts. It is the only interdisciplinary undergraduate Arts Administration Program in the University of North Carolina system. Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree or higher in arts administration, arts management, arts leadership, studio art, design, or related field in the arts, business, or management, or a Bachelor’s degree plus equivalent professional practice.
- Professional experience as an artist and/or arts entrepreneur and/or management-level positions in an arts organization, business, such as a museum, gallery, design agency, or studio.
- At least one semester as an instructor of record at the university level or other relevant teaching experience, such as courses or workshops for professional artists.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year as an instructor of record at the university level.
- At least three years of professional experience as an artist and/or arts entrepreneur and/or management-level positions in an arts organization, business, such as a museum, gallery, design agency, or studio.
