Assistant Teaching Professor of Biological Sciences

The Department of Biological Sciences invites applications from academically qualified and professionally experienced individuals for a non-tenure track, 12-month, Instructor position (referred to as Assistant Teaching Professors at FIU) in the areas of Human and General Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, Histology and Cellular Biology. Candidates must have a Masters in the biological sciences or related field and a willingness to teach active learning courses as well as the ability to provide an enriching learning experience. A Ph.D. in the biological sciences or related field and experience in active learning classes is preferred. The Department of Biological Sciences is committed to developing novel learning activities that will prepare students for success in a fast-paced global environment. Courses in the areas of Human and General Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, Histology and Cellular Biology are high demand core courses and electives.  Teaching in other undergraduate upper and lower division courses may also be expected, depending on specialization and departmental needs.
