Summary of Job Duties:The Administrative Support Supervisor is the assistant to the Department Chair in the Management Department. This position is responsible for managing the Department Chair’s calendar and travel, as well as assisting with reports, departmental budgets, class scheduling, and correspondence. Additionally, this position supervises the other office staff to ensure that the Management faculty, Ph.D. students, and students majoring in Management receive the administrative assistance they need.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education of a high school diploma

  • At least one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field

  • At least four years of experience in administrative support, including one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity



Applicable equivalencies may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An associate's degree OR at least two years of course work toward a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Higher education work experience

  • Office management experience

  • Experience working with faculty and students

  • Experience with the University of Arkansas systems including Workday ERP, UAConnect, Business Objects (InfoView), and R25



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proficiently skilled in Microsoft Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
