Job Summary:
Bucknell University is seeking an Equipment Room Assistant who will be responsible for laundry services and distribution apparel for athletic programs in the KLARC Team Center.

Job Duties:

Reporting Relationships / Direct Reports:
  • Reports to Equipment Room Supervisor


Location: On-campus

Shift: Second

What You'll Do:

Laundry | 80% | Assist in the laundering and disbursement of materials on a daily basis. Perform some mending tasks using an automatic sewing machine.

Recordkeeping | 10% | Recordkeeping, specifically regarding the process of identifying inventory control problems, to include: non-return of items by individuals; return of assigned items by individuals; and anticipating lack of inventory for disbursement. Assist in the completion of all locker security system re-assignments.

Receiving | 10% | Assist in the inspection of deliveries with special attention given to the accuracy and completeness of the delivery as stated by the purchase order. Assist in advising the appropriate staff on purchases, with a focus on future maintenance and distribution needs.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent


Preferred, but not required:
  • Professional Work Experience: Previous experience with athletic programs and/or inventory/supply work in a service environment.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends.


Physical Requirements:
  • Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
  • Moderate physical activity.
  • Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.

This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
