Patton College of Education, Department of Teacher Education is accepting applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Instructional Technology (Tenure Track) position with an anticipated starting date of August 15, 2025. The tenure-track position in Innovative Learning Design & Technology (ILDT), focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education. ILDT encompasses aspects of instructional design; learning theories; and leveraging technological and pedagogical innovations to address issues of content design, delivery, assessment of learning outcomes, instructional leadership, online education, faculty development and evaluation of professional development in the realm of education and industry. Through rigorous research, the ILDT educator will shape the larger conversation around AI in education, as well as aid in the shaping of broader policy and practices in both higher education and PK-12 schools. Candidates should have experience and expertise in instructional technology, teacher preparation, and AI.
