Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible for driving and associated duties in respect to the University’s transportation service and delivery services.

Knowledge of vehicle safety.

Ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate initiative.
Ability to maintain an even temperament with customers.
Ability to effectively communicate, including verbal and written communication.
Possess strong organizational skills.
Possess a high level of professionalism

Essential Job Functions

• To ensure that the transport of passengers operates safely and effectively within the prescribed timetables.
• To provide other driving duties/services for staff, students and VIP -including field trips, which could result in the occasional overnight stay.
• Knowing and following emergency procedures in case of accidents or unexpected situations.
• Managing vehicle schedules and routes depending on the scope of work.

Qualifications

Technical/trade school, high school, or equivalent to a high school education.

Licensing and Certifications

Holder of PCV (D) license.
