Full Professor/ Associate Professor in Mathematics Education and Science of Learning (Mathematics & Mathematics Education Department and The Science of Learning in Education Centre)

The Mathematics & Mathematics Education Department(MME) invites applicants with an earned doctorate and research portfolio in Mathematics Education and/or Science of Learning for a Professor or Associate Professor (with or without tenure) position. This is an excellent opportunity for outstanding scholars to engage in a dynamic department to advance our education and research goals.

Requirements 

•    Doctorate in a field relevant to Mathematics Education and/or Science of Learning (SoL)
•    Record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed, international journals 
•    Evidence of excellence in grantsmanship as a Principal Investigator (PI)
•    Evidence of excellence in teaching at university level
•    Evidence of excellence communication in English
•    Evidence of excellent people skills and proven ability to lead a sizeable and multicultural team
•    An understanding of and enthusiasm to work in Singapore and Asia, with an appreciation for Asian culture.

Additional requirements for Full Professor:
•    High research impact in the field of Mathematics Education and/or SoL
•    Proven track record of grant awards of at least USD1million and has been the PI of large-scale research projects


Responsibilities

This position involves the development and teaching of curriculum and courses, and the development and conduct of research in the Mathematics Education and SoL.

A successful candidate will be involved in:
•    Curriculum development and teaching
•    Supervision and mentorship
•    Research oversight and development
•    Knowledge transfer and collaboration
•    Community and professional development

In addition, a Full Professor will be involved in:
•    International Engagement and Representation
•    Strategic Leadership and Communication.

The Associate Professor role focuses more on teaching, supervision, research and mentorship, while the Full Professor role encompasses additional responsibilities such as larger scope and influence in research oversight and development, international representation, strategic leadership, and broader community engagement.
