Job Details
University of the Ozarks invites applications for a current position as a tenure track Assistant Professor of Philosophy beginning July 1, 2025. Candidates should have earned a Ph.D. degree in Philosophy or expect completion by the time of appointment. The desired applicant will work as part of a team to promote our Philosophy and Religion programs. The area of specialization is open, but the successful candidate will be able to teach courses across a range of areas within philosophy, including logic, aesthetics, the history of Western philosophy, philosophy of religion, and Hindu and Buddhist thought. The teaching load is 4:4, or 24 academic credit hours per academic year. Additional expectations for the role include advising students, participating in the shared governance of the university, and ongoing professional development.
