Assistant Professor of Public Health (Tenure-track)
The Department of Biological, Environmental, and Earth Sciences at the University of South Carolina Aiken (web.usca.edu/biology) seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Public Health. Start date: August 16, 2025. Required: Doctorate in Public Health, teaching experience at the undergraduate level, proven research and publication record commensurate with career level, ability to develop a research program that includes mentoring undergraduate research; however, ABD applicants may be considered. Preferred: a record of continuous scholarly activity, a strong interest in teaching and research at a small comprehensive liberal arts institution, and experience with new academic program development. Evidence of community outreach and initiatives. Primary teaching responsibilities will include foundational courses in the undergraduate Public Health curriculum. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an active research program that includes mentoring of undergraduate research projects in lab and community settings. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
The Department of Biological, Environmental, and Earth Sciences is home to 14 full time faculty members and approximately 200 undergraduate majors. In addition to a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health, we offer BS degrees in biology, clinical laboratory science, and environmental earth systems. Required Education and Experience
