POSITION:
Assistant Professor, FA040, Full-Time: 100% appointment, Faculty, Ongoing/Renewable, Academic (9-month), one vacancy.
This position is eligible for hybrid work consideration (on-campus instruction will be required). Currently eligibility requires residency in one of the following states: Wisconsin or Minnesota upon hire.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The School of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Superior invites applications for the faculty position of tenure-track Assistant Professor of Management. The school is seeking individuals who will provide excellent undergraduate instruction, incorporate current techniques in teaching and research, and work collaboratively to strengthen the school’s business programs.
JOB DUTIES:
• Engage in quality teaching, service, and scholarly activity in support of the Management Concentration of the Business Administration Major and advise students within the School of Business and Economics (SBE).
• Courses to be taught include Principles of Management and Strategic Management. Other possible courses to be taught include Organizational Behavior, International Business, Human Resource Management and others as assigned by the Director of the School of Business and Economics.
• Teaching may take place in the classroom or in an online format as assigned.
• This position requires an on-campus presence.
• Committed to building community among students and faculty within SBE and the university.
Other Duties:
• Complete required trainings and professional development as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
• PhD or DBA earned by August 27, 2025, in Management or in Business Administration or other relevant business discipline from a school/college accredited by the AACSB or similar accrediting body.
• Instructor of record for at least one semester teaching Management in higher education.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
• Completed PhD or DBA in Management or in Business Administration from a school/college accredited by the AACSB or similar accrediting body.
• Management experience in a relevant industry or government agency.
• At least two years of teaching at the university level.
• Experience using a variety of teaching methods.
• A proven track record of scholarly accomplishments or a well-developed research agenda.
• Experience or interest in engaging with the business community.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $95,000 annually. Specific benefit information can be found here. A snapshot of benefits offered for this position include:
