(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Responsible for course materials and textbooks for the assigned bookstore. Provides management and supervision of operations, staff and/or student assistance.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages the entire course materials adoption process and oversees and assists course materials staff
2. Oversees processes and assigned staff responsible for the purchasing and returning of course materials for all locations
3. Manages the sourcing of textbooks, creation of Purchase Orders, return of overstock, etc.
4. Responsible for all Continuing Education and E-core adoptions
5. Ensures Marietta adoption processes are handled properly
6. Responsible for managing all assigned staff and/or student assistants including but not limited to hiring, training, scheduling, time approval, daily supervision, etc.
7. Serves as text floor manager supervising staff, handling customer service issues, sets floor each semester, maintains departmental cleanliness and organization, assures appropriate signage is present, maintains loss prevention measures, etc.
8. Coordinates with the course materials staff and leadership to manage relevant programs such as book Rentals and Buybacks
9. Assists with acquiring and managing rental quotes and buyback quotes and manages and ensures integrity of all book return processes
10. Provides support to other team members in assuring that all parts of the Day One Access program are properly implemented and carried out each semester
11. Ensures course materials are properly represented through e-commerce channels
12. Provides assistance as needed to text programs related to Dual Enrollment and scholarship athletes
13. Shares responsibility with course materials staff and leadership in the management and security of all course material inventory, assure margins are achieved, inventory is maintained at proper levels, and losses to write-offs, theft, etc. are minimized
14. Manages book pre-pay processes and related Backorder List processes and coordinates with Order Fulfillment, Operations, and others as needed
15. Assists with the facilitation and fulfillment of any departmental or customer special orders
16. Coordinates with department leadership and other team members to implement and manage effective campus outreach
17. Works with faculty and departmental coordinators to facilitate and improve adoption collection and other relevant text processes and programs
18. Serves as key member of store leadership team, serves as a weekend Manager On Duty, provides opening and/or closing manager coverage as needed, provides leadership coverage as needed at non-text events (i.e., sporting events), etc.
19. Provides overall assistance to department leadership to ensure all facets of course materials operations are being fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted Georgia driver's license
Required Experience
Three (3) years of relevant work experience including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience

Inventory control experience
Customer service training and experience

Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with publishers and other vendor partners

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
