As part of the Charles Turner Post-Doctoral Program, we are pleased to announce a new postdoctoral fellow position with the School of Environment and Sustainability (SEaS) in the College of Arts and Sciences. Named in honor of one of the first Black students to earn a graduate degree at the University of Cincinnati, the Charles Henry Turner Post-Doctoral Program aims to attract talented postdoctoral fellows who will contribute diverse perspectives, expertise, and skill sets that bolster inclusion and innovation and enhance the student experience.
We seek an exceptional scholar with research interests in atmospheric science, climate change, and/or meteorology. The postdoctoral fellow will be supervised and mentored by Dr. Amy Townsend-Small and Dr. Laura Zanotti. The postdoc's research time may be spent on projects of their own design, ongoing projects in the School of Environment and Sustainability, or a combination of both. In addition to conducting and publishing independent and collaborative research, the postdoc will be expected to teach one course per academic year in the School of Environment and Sustainability.
This position will provide postdoctoral research training and mentoring for one year, renewable for a second year upon satisfactory performance. The position pays an annual nine-month salary of $56,000 (paid over 12 months). Funds for travel, professional development, and research expenses are also available for the successful candidate.
