The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty member on a 9-month contract. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience. St. Catherine University has a rich history in dietetics and nutrition and is adapting to the dynamic nature of the field in innovative ways. The faculty member will primarily be teaching in the Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics, which is a future-education model program that strives to develop competent, ethical leaders in dietetics who embrace social responsibility, lifelong learning, and professional excellence. Teaching responsibilities are flexible depending on expertise and may include the following courses: nutrition education and counseling, culinary nutrition, foodservice operations and production, and lifecycle nutrition- adulthood. The Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics prepares graduates for the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam and for entry-level dietitian positions. This is an on-campus position, since classes are hybrid and meet in person once per week. Candidates must be credentialed as Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, eligible for dietetics licensure in Minnesota, and have at least 3 years of experience as a dietitian. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in accredited dietetics programs, teaching at the graduate level, teaching online, and coordination of fieldwork experience.
Responsibilities: The expected candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the mission, philosophy, goals, and priorities of the Nutrition and Dietetics Program at St. Catherine University and is expected to meet expectations in teaching and service. This position entails 6-7 course loads per academic year. Roles and responsibilities include:
- Demonstration of excellence in teaching and advising using student-centered strategies with a diverse student population
- Collaboration with program and interdisciplinary faculty in curriculum, assessment, and accreditation activities
- Coordination of fieldwork and maintenance of productive partnerships with supervised experiential learning sites in the Twin Cities Metro and beyond
- Participation in program and university events including faculty meetings and faculty development events
- Engagement in professional development activities to keep current in areas of expertise and best practices in teaching
- Participate in service at the program, department, university, and professional levels
Salary range: $55,000 - $61,000

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Dietetic Registration (RDN) for a minimum of 3 years
- Eligible for dietetics licensure in Minnesota
- Minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years in professional practice
- Demonstration of successful teaching experiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience in an ACEND accredited program
- Teaching experience at the graduate level
- Online teaching experience
- Experience with accreditation management
- Experience in fieldwork coordination
- Experience with managing partnerships with sites
