(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

This position is focused on the collection of data and information on student internship/co-op placement, career outcomes, and other success metrics within the Department of Career Planning and Development. The position manages data that is collected and is responsible for making data accessible to key stakeholders, including University leadership and College Deans, and ensuring that information about student success is readily available and effectively communicated.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead data collection efforts for student and employer outcomes related to internships, co-ops, full-time job placement, and student engagements
2. Work with supervisor and other campus partners to assess and enhance a protocol leading to greater annual completion of the KSU undergraduate First Destination Survey
3. Work with supervisor and other campus partners to assess and enhance a protocol leading to a robust graduate student career outcomes.
4. Lead deployment of First Destination Survey (FDS), drive improvements to response rate, and manage and interpret resulting data
5. Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards for use by University stakeholders
6. Prepare datasets and summary information for leadership to assess Department of Career Planning and Development (CPD) performance
7. Make recommendations to CPD staff and leadership on improving data reliability and consistency
8. Compile reports provided to academic units, including Deans and Department Chairs, regarding student success, experiential education, and career outcomes
9. Develop and maintain data visualization tools and information dashboards to inform campus stakeholders of results and CPD impact
10. Meet regularly with Career Planning and Development staff to assess data quality and metrics of student success
11. Develop resources, including data dashboards, to regularly communicate student career and internship outcomes to college and department leadership
12. Assess effectiveness and opportunities for improvement in programming and career readiness skill development
13. Represents CPD at meetings, conferences, and other events as relevant to role. May develop and present speeches or presentations to inform key stakeholders about student outcomes
14. Responds to requests for data and metrics from University leadership in a timely and accurate manner
15. Provides technical support by managing University-wide use of Handshake platform
16. Monitors progress toward achieving established objectives and deadlines.
17. Conducts research, designs new initiatives, and collaborates with others to ensure consistency and streamlining of processes across campus.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (data analytics, statistics, higher education administration, etc.)

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted drivers' license

Required Experience
Three (3) years of related experience in data collection, management, and communication, preferably in a higher education setting

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Preferred Experience
Experience collaborating with university stakeholders and faculty
Working knowledge of Handshake, Banner, and/or Tableau and Power BI data visualization software

Proposed Salary

ABILITIES
Ability to create, interpret, and effectively communicate metrics associated with internships and other experiential education experiences will be essential
Demonstrated ability to be future-focused, detail-oriented, and thorough; skilled at anticipating and preventing potential problems and handling a wide variety of tasks with efficiency and accuracy. Strong commitment to a quality work product.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in the context of FERPA

KNOWLEDGE
Experience in supporting an experiential learning, student-success, academic, or related program in higher education
Proven knowledge and experience of using and facilitating conversations regarding career assessments, career research tools, and NACE Career Readiness Competencies

SKILLS
Possess strong time-management, organization, and communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), listening, time management, project management, highly organized and presentation skills
Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems, makes effective decisions and negotiation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, PowerBI, Tableau data visualization software, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
