Fresno Pacific University is a faith-based, Hispanic Service Institution (HIS) located in the San Joaquin Valley of California.  The Social Work program makes a significant contribution to the field in the Central Valley, helping students develop advanced generalist social work practice skills.

The department is look for an Assistant Professor of Social Work who can teach and provide field instruction and education across the curriculum spectrum in generalist and advanced generalist education; with a specialization in teaching the dynamics between the theoretical and practical framework within social work education.   Candidate must be able to build community partnerships for field settings and oversee field education placements and partnerships.  Candidates must be able to teach social work courses across programs and format options such as teaching in the evenings in the Master of Social Work program, which includes hybrid, blended eight-week courses, and in the Degree Completion/Adult Learners (DC) that includes hybrid, blended six-week courses, as well as the Traditional Undergraduate (TUG) residential format offering day courses.   The faculty member will be expected to engage in scholarly activity and/or professional development, and curriculum development, and contribute to ongoing program assessment and evaluation.
